Quite frankly, I'm a bit confused by Basic Math Tutor. What is Basic Math? What isn't? Anyway, I will try to answer these and many other questions after we deal with The aMAZEing Math Maze. This page is at least partially here because some people failed to answer Question 4 in the Maze correctly. Like I have said before, if you answer all the questions correctly - the Maze was kind of a waste of time. Hopefully, we can learn from our mistakes and do better next time. So - let's look closer at question 4a.
We are trying to see if we can find a pattern. The difference between 10 and 3 is 7. Because 10 - 7 = 3.
Turns out the difference between 3 and -4 is also 7, and each number is generated by subtracting 7 from the previous number. So, we would use the formula Next = x - 7. Because, to find the next number, I would subtract 7 from the current number.
Unfortunately, that's it. You are welcome to start over, or jump to one of the previous entered questions.
I set up this site because I really do want people to be good at math. It's just not that hard, and it's incredibly useful. So, on the one hand I'm trying to cover all the subjects related to Algebra 1, and then all the subjects related to Algebra 2 etc.
Then I got the idea to do the maze and decided to make the pages relevant by also discussing topics that people search for but aren't finding too many answers. Turns out, Basic Math Tutor has 3807 people searching for it and only 11 sites that are providing answers. So - here we are.
What is "Basic" math? Is it Elementary School Math, is it Middle School Math. I am not being sarcastic, I am just really confused. There are a lot of good online sites for tutors. On one of my other pages I recommended an article on tutors titled What online tutoring programs can do for Kids . I'm not sure that helps, but it's something.
If I've totally missed the point, use the contact form to let me know what you want - and I will try very hard to provide it. Believe me when I say that I am not trying to trick you or anything. I absolutely love mathematics and truly do want to share that with everyone. I am not in any way opposed to money, but contacting me is not some wiley way to get yours.
